Module Overview

Delivering effective care in IBD starts with a strong foundation of knowledge and the ability to confidently apply it to everyday practice. Developed from our established ‘Introduction to IBD and Enhancing the Patient Conversation‘ course and enhanced with modern learning techniques, this two‑part module provides a contemporary and engaging way to build core skills. It bridges the gap between theory and practice, helping you build essential clinical understanding and translate it into impactful patient care. It also allows for protected time to reflect on your learning and practice, which can be useful as evidence for your continuing professional development.

Part 1: Self Paced Online Learning

Explore interactive modules at your own pace providing up-to-date insights into IBD, from pathophysiology and treatment options to the broader impact on patients’ quality of life. You’ll build a strong and comprehensive knowledge base to bring to life in Part 2.

Part 2: Immersive Face-to-Face Weekend Training

Join a small group for practical exercises, case-based discussions, and communication skills development. Apply your knowledge to deliver effective, person-centred care.

Part 2 of this module is CPD certified.

Friday Evening

Saturday

Presentations, interactive educational workshops and group exercises.

Sunday morning

Consolidation of learning and applying new skills in practice.
